B2B Event Venue Marketplace Developed in 2 Months

Overview

EventPartner is a B2B event venue marketplace that helps corporate event organizers find, compare, and contact suitable venues across Poland.

The platform brings venue discovery, structured event briefs, inquiries, proposals, and communication into one workflow. It also gives venue managers a dedicated environment for presenting their spaces and handling qualified business inquiries.

Project Overview

Project Overview
Delivery period: Two months
Engineering team: Two specialists
Current status: Phase One launched

EventPartner partnered with ND Labs to build a custom B2B marketplace for the event services industry.

The product connects two user groups: corporate event organizers searching for suitable venues and venue managers looking to receive and process qualified inquiries.
ND Labs delivered the frontend and backend development, designed the platform architecture, established the AWS infrastructure and DevOps workflows, and performed quality assurance.

The first development phase focused on launching the core marketplace experience and creating a scalable technical foundation.

Following the initial release, ND Labs continues to develop EventPartner through the next product phase.

Business Challenge

Business Challenge
Organizers of corporate events often have to search across multiple websites, contact each venue separately, repeat the same requirements, and compare offers manually.

The process is also inefficient for venue managers. Inquiries arrive through different channels and often lack important details, making it difficult to prepare an accurate proposal.
EventPartner was created to bring the entire process into one platform from venue discovery and structured briefs to inquiries and communication.

The solution also needed a flexible technical foundation that could support additional event service providers in the future.

Marketplace Architecture

Provider-Oriented Data Model
The platform uses a flexible provider concept rather than hardcoding the entire system specifically for venues. This makes it possible to introduce new service categories as the marketplace grows.
Role-Based User Experience
Organizers and venue managers follow separate onboarding and product journeys, with interfaces and permissions tailored to their responsibilities.
Structured Marketplace Workflows
Event requirements, inquiries, messages, and proposals are represented as structured platform data. This creates a consistent experience for users and provides a foundation for analytics, automation, and future AI functionality.
Independent Inquiry Threads
A single event brief can be used to contact multiple venues. Each inquiry remains an independent conversation with its own status and proposal lifecycle, allowing organizers to compare options without losing context.
Cloud Infrastructure
The platform is deployed on AWS infrastructure designed to support reliable releases, further product development, and future scaling.

Key Features

Venue Search and Filtering
Organizers can browse venue profiles and narrow the results by location, capacity, event type, amenities, and price range.
Structured Event Briefs
A guided form collects the event date, location, number of guests, budget, and specific requirements. This gives venue managers the information they need to evaluate an inquiry and prepare a relevant response.
Criteria-Based Suggestions
The system uses the information provided in the brief to organize suitable venue options. Organizers can review relevant profiles without searching through unrelated listings.
Multi-Venue Inquiries
The same brief can be sent to several selected venues. A separate inquiry is created for each recipient, allowing every conversation and response to progress independently.
Centralized Communication
Organizers and venue managers can discuss requirements and proposals within the product. This keeps the complete history of each inquiry in one place.
Dedicated User Workspaces
Organizers can manage briefs and venue inquiries, while venue managers receive and process requests through a role-specific interface.
Bilingual Experience
EventPartner is available in Polish and English, with localized navigation, content, metadata, and URLs.

Technology Stack

Next.js powers the frontend, including the public marketplace pages, localized routes, responsive interfaces, and role-based user journeys.
NestJS handles the backend business logic, APIs, permissions, provider data, and inquiry lifecycle.
AWS provides the infrastructure for deployment, application environments, and future scaling.

Engineering Challenges

Managing One Brief Across Multiple Venues
A single event brief can generate several inquiries, but each venue must receive a private and independent conversation. ND Labs team implemented separate inquiry threads with their own participants, messages, and statuses.
Connecting Two Different User Journeys
Organizers and venue managers interact with the same request from different perspectives. The system needed clear permissions and interfaces for both sides without fragmenting the underlying process.
Keeping Marketplace Data Consistent
Venue information, event requirements, messages, and inquiry statuses need to remain connected throughout the user journey. We structured these elements as related entities, making the system easier to maintain and extend.
Building for Continued Development
The same brief can be sent to several selected venues. A separate inquiry is created for each recipient, allowing every conversation and response to progress independently.
